Dani is an internet camgirl using her platform to pay the bills. She believes that the separation between persona and person is intact and proceeds to live her life with her boyfriend Ryan and her best friend Liz. Unfortunately, things make a dramatic change when one of her highest paying subscribers becomes too personal in their interactions and Dani believes that she is being stalked.
Things go from bad to worse after a disastrous meet and greet where she becomes more paranoid as the messages to her become more violent and dark. As Dani tries to find a way to deal with her growing problem, she thinks back to the incident that ruined her life and who she was before as she goes on the offensive to find the man stalking her and take back her life.
The Story: Cho crafts an engaging and compelling story of survival and resilience in this story. The character of Dani is delightfully complex and interesting and her internal struggles connected with me as a reader. This is an intriguing look at a part of culture that is rarely explored and I really liked the intensity of the story and how it brings about moments of suspense as well as some surprising reveals.
The Art: Smith offers some beautifully detailed and stylized art throughout the issue. I love the look of this story and how the shadows and character designs enhance the mood and tone of the story.
